About Us:
The Greater Kingston Civic Association was formed in the early 1960s.  It included the Kingston Estates, Brandywoods, Deer Woods and Green Haven areas.  The Association was active in advocating for community improvements such as sidewalk repair and protecting against unwanted "progress" such as access to Interstate 295 through the neighborhood.  This group of concerned neighbors also held social events and neighborhood landscape contests!  Over the years the GKCA has periodically come together to support area residents through communication and work with the Cherry Hill Municipal Government.  The geographic range expanded to include North Woods, Forest Hills, Kingston East, and Three Oaks.
The founders of this site hope that you will feel free to use this website to find out more about your neighborhood and to become involved in keeping this community strong!

  • The Cherry Hill Police Department Presents The Kid Card ID Program
The Cherry Hill Police Department’s Community Relations is proud to present this Child ID program to any child free of charge at township events.  The Cherry Hill Kid Card is an identification card parents will have as a quick reference should your child be reported lost or missing.  The card will include a photo and physical description of your child. Additionally, the information on the card meets the criteria needed for identifying and entering the child into the Amber Alert System.
Next Event Date: Saturday, February 11, 2012, Cherry Hill Library 10:00am-2:00pm

  • Western Union Scam
The Cherry Hill Police Department has received several reports of a Western Union Scam. The unknown actor contacts a victim (usually elderly) and “hires” them as a Mystery Shopper. The victim then enters the identified store and sends a Western Union Money Wire Transfer (of their own money) to the unknown actor. Often the amount of money sent is in the Thousands. The victim believes this money will be returned and additional compensation will be sent, however this is not the case.

Please be aware of any suspicious phone calls especially when money is requested and keep an eye out for elderly residents who may talk about this “great” opportunity.

Be aware that money sent via Western Union or other wire transfer sites is NOT able to be recovered once it is picked up by the recipient (actor). These scams also usually require the money to be sent overseas which makes criminal or civil recourse impossible.

Call the police immediately if you suspect a scam or have been a victim of a scam. Call CHPD Dispatch at (856) 665-1200.

DO NOT send money to unknown persons without first ensuring it is legitimate. Legitimate businesses/organizations do not require “customers” to send money with a promise the customer will profit from the transaction.
