GREATER KINGSTON AREA/GKCA MINUTES
- 4/25/11 GKCA General Membership Meeting: The CHBOE candidates and the CHBOE budget were featured. Residents had the opportunity to hear presenations about the budget and from all candidates and then ask specific questions.
- 11/30/10 GKCA General Membership Meeting: Mayor Platt and Township Officials addressed resident concerns.Residents asked and were informed about the proposed schools merger, the recent rat problem, property maintenance issues, home and neighborhood safety, traffic and Rt. 70. The hotel at Rt. 70 and I-295 is to become an assisted living facility.
- 3/24/10 GKCA General Membership Meeting: The Cherry Hill Board of Education talked about the budget to be voted on on 4/20/10. Residents discussed traffic and property maintenance issues, and Rt. 70.
- In lieu of the Fall General Membership Meeting, GKCA co-sponsored a “Meet the Candidates Night” Forum for with twelve other Cherry Hill civic associations on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, from 7-9pm in the Cherry Hill Public Library’s Conference Center . Candidate biographies were provided on this website and all eight candidates seeking election to the Cherry Hill Town Council and on the November 3, 2009 ballot were invited to participate. The event was free and open to the public.
- Tentative Meeting Cancelled: The NJDOT had scheduled a tentative meeting in late May (5/27/09) with stakeholders to discuss conceptual designsfor the Rt. 70/Kingston Drive entrance. Per Matt Toyer, Aide to the Mayor and Constituent Relations Director, the NJDOT was open to including the GKCA to represent neighborhood residents at the meeting. An Open House for the entire community was also planned. Note: Matt Toyer notified the GKCA on 5/8/09 that the NJDOT cancelled the meetings as the State did not feel ready to present to the community.

campaign donations, reform of the contract bidding process, and more transparent government.
MUNICIPAL
GOLDEN TRIANGLE TRANSIT-ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT STUDY
The purpose of this study is to determine the most efficient land use for the various parcels from a comprehensive perspective. By identifying the type of land use best for the area, redevelopment initiatives can be successful. The study will include an examination of alternative land uses, circulation improvements and connections, natural resource restoration and preservation; and an evaluation of the fiscal and infrastructure impacts with strong community consensus.
